about me

Hello there, I’m Diana, the writer behind the accidental heroine.

For some odd reason, and seemingly unbeknownst to me, my life decided not to stick to my carefully, well thought-out plan. I eventually came to the realization that I seriously knew nothing about the life I was trying to craft.

Overthinking everything and writing about it is what I’ve been doing in one way or another all my life. My hope is that what I think and write here about where we are in the world and how we live can be both meaningful and helpful.

Ultimately, I write this blog for women like me…and women like you.

As I see it, we like women like you.

We like (unapologetically) bossy woman.

We like women that don’t pretend to always have their shit together. In fact, we very much dislike women who pretend to always have their shit together.

We get it. Whatever it is. We just get it.

And we like to know that there are other women out there that get it, too.

We know who we are.

We aren’t trying to find ourselves or find new friends or finally find the meaning of every.damn.thing.

We know that we don’t need to do that.

We’ve already made some pretty tough life decisions; we’ve already grown up.

We call ourselves women…never girls.

We still have a lot to learn. And we’re not at all afraid to admit it.

We believe that knowing better means doing better.

We’re trying to do better.

We’re educated, we like to cuss, and we ask a lot of questions.

Just because we can. And without apologies.

We keep each other honest.

We’re probably already best friends.
